A retreat is something many of us wish we could attend or only dream about, but unfortunately our busy lives and lifestyles prevent us from going away on long retreats as often as we would like.

My Yin Yoga Meditation and Cooking Day Retreat is perfect for busy people who recognise the need to slow down their internal speedometer and honour themselves enough to allow just one full day of nourishment for their body, mind and soul.

Yin Yoga is a very slow, restorative form of yoga (no previous yoga experience needed) which helps not only stretch and lengthen tight muscles but also calm and soothe the mind. The practice of Yin Yoga awakens our Parasympathetic Nervous System as it fights the effects of prolonged stress and promotes deep, restorative rest and digestion.

RETREAT SCHEDULE

8am – Registration

8.30am-10am – Light yin yoga & guided meditation

10am-10.30am – Morning tea/swim in the heated pool or beach

10.30am-12pm – The Physiological Effects of Continuous Stress on the Body, Pranayama (Breath Regulation) and Mantra Meditation to help calm the mind, energise and awaken the spirit.

12pm – 2.30pm – Organic Vegetarian Cooking Class and Lunch

2.30pm – 4pm – “The eyes are the windows to your soul” – understanding your unique emotional Iridology iris structure to bring more awareness and calmness into your life + specific yoga postures and a touch of Yoga Wisdome to help achieve optimal emotional health.

4.30pm – 5pm -Yoga Nidra guided meditation
